Since 1995, Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County, commonly known as Habitat Oakland, has served nearly 1,669 individuals. Its humble beginnings originated with a dedicated group of volunteers seeking to build one house for a local family in need. Incredibly, 29 years later, Habitat Oakland is on a trajectory of strategic growth that aims to reach 2,025 individuals by the end of 2025. The affiliate is well-positioned to achieve this milestone because of a firm conviction to be adaptive to escalating needs with cost-effective solutions that produce sizeable scale and impact. Even within its flagship Affordable Housing Program, Habitat Oakland has adeptly crafted its offerings to encompass wide-ranging solutions that serve low-to-moderate-income homebuyers and generate more equitable housing outcomes.
