Sales/Business Developmen

General Purpose: The Sales/Business Development role will be responsible to manage the sales operation of the business. This position will be responsible for managing the company’s business development plan including leveraging the existing client base and strategic partners, networking events, and outbound lead generators. This position will build client and partner relationships to close new and repeat business. The role consists of event attendance and many meetings with clients and prospects while also maintaining contact with current clients and strategic partners.

 

Supervision and Direction Received: Under the direction of the President.

 

Supervision and Direction Exercised: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Machines and Equipment Used: Multi-line telephone including Voice Mail Systems, PC, Credit Card Processing System, Various Printing Systems, Fax Machine, Photocopier. Local travel required via use of personal vehicle.

 

Typical Duties:

 

· Implement Business Development Plan for attracting new clients and improve upon the plan as possible.

· Generate new leads.

· Answering the phone.

· Enter client information into CRM as leads are generated and follow-up calls are completed.

· Schedule initial client meetings.

· Transmit and present proposals to clients.

· Close sales proposals by obtaining prospect signature on purchase orders.

· Help clients with questions or issues.

· Attend mixers and networking events.

· Join company approved networking groups.

· Pursue new events and networking opportunities for leads.

· Register and attend expos, set up and tear down expo booths.

· Maintain a positive working relationship with clients, prospects, vendors, and co-workers.

· Maintain a forecast of sales opportunities.

 

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience with sales preferred. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must have a reliable personal vehicle.

 

Compensation: $48,000 to $54,000 plus commission with full benefits package, opportunity for advancement and bonus.
