Operations Manager

General Purpose: Under limited supervision, this position is directly responsible for day to day business operations including overseeing and acting on:  software development, invoicing, technical support, help desk, answering phones, banking, and responding to customer requests. This position is also expected to evaluate current and potential: daily operations, security practices, services offered, servers and services used, hardware and software, research future changes and plan/prepare for new offerings and obsolete systems.
 
Supervision and Direction Received: Under the direction of the President.
 
Supervision and Direction Exercised: Direct supervision of Project Manager, Technical Employees, and Programming Employees. Exercises discretion by providing consultation and guidance to outside vendors and contractors and supervising programming and project boards. Responsible for managing the office.
 
Machines and Equipment Used: Multi-line telephone including Voice Mail Systems, PC, Credit Card Processing System, Various Printing Systems, Fax Machine, Photocopier. Local travel required via use of personal vehicle.

  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to requests
  • Complete customer invoicing as stated in project contracts

  • Handle scheduling for developers
  • Develop and oversee best practice standards for daily operations and development
  • Review current and potential vendors
  • Cover the office in the absence of the President
 
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.  Five or more year’s experience in server management, website development and help desk operations. Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to prioritize and manage a large number of diverse tasks. High level of organizational skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and mainstream Content Management Systems. Must be proficient in Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Microsoft Exchange, E-mail, Windows Server and IIS Administration, MS SQL Administration, and Apache, PHP and MySQL administration.
 
Compensation: $50,000 to $70,000 negotiated on experience with full benefits package, opportunity for advancement and bonus.
