Business, Management, Marketing and Technology Teacher

Clarkston High School

 

Grades 10-12

 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate or recent professional work experience in Information Technology or Business preferred

  • Business Management, Marketing and Technology (GQ), and Marketing Education(GM) Endorsements preferred

  • Occupational Certificate with Business Management, Marketing & Technology (GQ) and Marketing Education (GM) Endorsement preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate related field of study

  • History of successful teaching experience.

  • Background in Business Management, Accounting, Information Technology

  • Must meet Michigan Highly Qualified Teacher qualifications in subject areas

  • Willingness and ability to work cooperatively on a teaching team

  • Credential file documentation of successful attainment, excellent student teacher and or teaching experiences

  • Computer/technology knowledge such as Microsoft Office, Internet, Google, E-mail, creation of web pages, and computer applications required.

  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 
  • Ability to work with program level business/industry advisory/partnership committees 

  • Ability to plan and implement lessons based upon school objectives, teacher’s unit plan, and the needs and abilities of students.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication.

  • Ability to build knowledge of, and use new technologies; ability to keep informed of current trends in the field.

  • Evidence of participation in professional growth activities; membership and participation in professional organizations at the local, regional, state, and national levels. 

  • Willingness to serve as DECA Advisor, professional marketing club

  • All other duties as assigned by District Administration 

 


Salary 

 

Appropriate placement on the current Teacher's Master Agreement.
