SUMMARY:Mental Health Matter
DESCRIPTION:As we head into the 2nd year of COVID-19\, we want to bring great awareness to the topic of mental health. We are very concerned with the amount of people experiencing issues right now during the pandemic. Mental health needs to be a priority for all of us right now. We know that 4 in 10 adults are experiencing various forms of it. The top issues that individuals are facing are anxiety\, depression\, substance use and suicide. This can have a ripple effect on individuals and families throughout our communities.\n\nTherefore\, we have created an awareness campaign during May which is national Mental Health Month.\n\n\n\nEasterseals Michigan will educate and engage companies\, organizations\, and partners in our communities to participate in this with us. The campaign is branded as "Get Screened! Mental Health Matters". Our goal is to have 5\,000 people take a free\, anonymous mental health screening online throughout May.\n\nWe will host the screening on our Easterseals Michigan website and share free educational resources for the community.\n\nWe hope you will join us by sharing that mental health matters and let us galvanize a movement of people helping people live their best life!
